On Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 at approximately 1:12 am, a shooting occurred on SE 136th Avenue north of SE Powell Boulevard. Jose Monroy-Castaneda (52 years old) was fatally shot at the location and another individual was seriously wounded.
Monroy-Castaneda's death has been ruled a homicide. Detectives from the Portland Police Bureau's Homicide Unit are actively investigating this case. Investigators are seeking tips that will lead to an arrest and they would like to hear from anyone with information about this homicide investigation.

The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help in locating a wanted person in a fatal collision that occurred in 2021.
On 07/05/21 at 9:25pm, wife and husband Jai Hong and Chung Kim were driving home from their restaurant, the Polar King, in Gresham, when they were struck head-on by a vehicle driven by Cassandra Steele. The collision occurred at the 14200 block of SE Powell Blvd, resulting in Chung Kim being killed.
A nationwide arrest warrant has been issued for Steele for the charge of Manslaughter-2nd degree, along with other criminal charges. Steele was last known to be living somewhere in the Portland area, but may have fled to Colorado.
Steele may be using the alias of “Natasha Steele” or “Cassandra Richards” and may be with Timothy Brewster, age 55. Cassandra Steele is described as 32 year old white female, approximately 5'11" tall and weighing 190 lbs.

The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve the November 2020 homicide of Harold Major.
On November 7, 2020, at approximately 7:33 p.m., Portland Police Bureau officers responded to the report of gunshots in the 3500 Block of Southeast 33rd Avenue. Officers arrived in the area and located a person suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered medical aid to the victim until paramedics arrived, however, the victim died at the scene.
The Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and determined that the victim, 31-year old Harold Andrew Major, died as a result of a gunshot wound and the death was ruled a homicide.

On August 21, 2023 around 2:45 PM, the unknown pictured male was involved in a racially motivated assault in the area of SW 2nd Ave and SW Pine Street. The victims, members of the Asian community, were spat upon and physically assaulted.
The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public’s help in identifying the shooter of 41 year old Khamori Loving.
On May 11, 2023, at approximately 11:45 PM, Khamori Loving was shot and killed in the area of NE 122nd Avenue and NE Wasco Street in Portland, Oregon. Khamori was seen speaking with an unknown female approximately 30 minutes before he was killed. The shooter has been described as a male wearing a white, hooded sweatshirt who ran south on NE 122nd Ave after the shooting.

On June 23, 2023 around 9:45 PM, 24 year old Marlan Johnson was shot and killed at the Motel 6 at 518 NE Holladay Street. The Portland Police Bureau's Homicide Detail is asking for anyone with information to submit tips to Crime Stoppers of Oregon.

On March 17th, 2023, at approximately 8:45 PM, a man was critically stabbed multiple times near the intersection of SE 70th Avenue and SE Powell Boulevard. The Portland Police Bureau is requesting the help of the community in identifying the suspect in this case. The suspect likely used Tri-met the evening of the incident to travel eastbound on Powell Blvd. The suspect in this case may used the nickname “Trippy.”

The Clark County Fire Marshals, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to locate the suspect or suspects in a fire investigation.
The Fire Marshal’s office is asking the public to review the video and photo attached to see if they recognize the people or vehicle. The video was taken Sunday, Oct. 9 at approximately 3:30 pm on a ridge near where the Nakia Creek fire is burning on Larch Mountain.
“We are looking for what we believe is a white or light-colored Subaru vehicle,” said Assistant Fire Marshal Curtis Eavenson. “Based on witness statements, we also believe there were two men and two women connected with this vehicle.”
If anyone recognizes the vehicle or people depicted in the video or has any information regarding the ongoing wildfire investigation, they are urged to contact the county’s Fire Marshal Office at (564) 397-3320.

The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to locate the suspect or suspects in a Robbery.
On October 7th, 2022, at about 0235 hours, officers assigned to East Precinct responded to the Shun Chang Lounge at 9141 SE Powell Blvd. Several patrons reported being robbed outside the business by a male and female. Several of the victims suffered gunshot injuries during the robbery. The Portland Police Bureau is seeking the publics’ assistance in identifying a male and female seen inside the business prior to the robbery.
