Crime Stoppers Featured Case #24-16 - Ballot Boxes Damaged
October 30, 2024

The Portland Fire Investigation Unit in conjunction with Crime Stoppers of Oregon is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the suspect involved in damaging area ballot boxes.

On October 28, 2024, ballot boxes in Vancouver, Washington as well as Portland, Oregon, were damaged with an incendiary device.  The suspect in these incidents is reported to be a white male, approximately 30-40 years old, balding or with very short hair, having a thin face and build, wearing a dark shirt.

The vehicle driven by the suspect is believed to be a 2001 to 2004 black Volvo S60.  It may have sections painted in a matte sheen indicative of repair work, as well as missing the front Volvo grill emblem.  The vehicle has dark wheels and a tan or light grey interior.

At this time, investigators believe it is possible the suspect intends to continue these targeted attacks.
